KS-YARC is a faith-based youth livelihoods and discipleship project implemented by Hope for a Child in Christ (HOCIC) and the Government of Zimbabwe in partnership with James 1:27 Trust – Jesus Aims Ministries International.

About KS:YARC Objectives
- To foster stewardship, self-reliance and dignity among youths.
- To strengthen spiritual growth, mentorship and positive life choices.
- To equip youths with practical agricultural and agribusiness skills.
- To promote sustainable income generation and food security.
Expected Outcomes
- Skilled and confident youths equipped with practical agricultural and entrepreneurship skills.
- Functional youth-led poultry and horticulture enterprises operating sustainably.
- Increased household income.
- Improved household food security and nutrition.
- Spiritually grounded and responsible young leaders demonstrating stewardship and positive life choices.
Scope & Activities
- Key infrastructure: borehole drilling, solarisation, irrigation system installation, horticulture, layers production.
- Activities: Practical farming and entrepreneurship training supported by ongoing mentorship and discipleship.
- Timelines: February 2026 – January 2027
- Budget: US$45 000.00
- Scope: Agricultural production, skills development, discipleship, mentorship, and enterprise sustainability.
Target
30 vulnerable youths aged 15–35 years drawn from the church and surrounding area (unemployed, under-resourced and at-risk youths).
- 10 Jesus Aims Ministries International (Pumula East, Mazwi, ward 18).
- 10 HOCIC member churches within the area.
- 10 Ministry of Youth, Department of Social Development and Bulawayo City Council Social Services.
